Air Corps Chemical Abuse Survivors
An information resource for serving & former members of the Irish Army Air Corps suffering illness due to unprotected toxic chemical exposure in the workplace.
Over 30 years ago in the U K I was exposed as a civilian in a test lab to many of the chemicals you guys were damaged by. Been ill ever since. Diagnosis of chemikally induced ME/CTEwas NOTMADE UNTIL 2010, but lung damage, skin problems, bad co-ordination, exhaustion goesback to the mid 1980’s. However despite the HSE totally ignoring a diagnosis I had from a Harley treet Specialist and therefore I get NO HELP, I have still got dcumentation on some ofthe chemicals and the damage they were known to cause from way back. Is there a postal address I can send copies to, if I can find the files? I am now in my 70’s and not able to lift boxes etc. but will domy best. Are any of the ACCAS group living near Clonmel/Limerick/Cork? If you need details of the chemkcals and know the names they areknown by, get in touch woth veteran’s groupd in the USA as hexavalent chromium and solvents are known tocause GWS Gulf War Syndrome. Good luck to No. 7 in joining your fight. Suggest you might get T shirts with the slogan “I’m NOT lazy, or crazy. I’m just ILL” This sums up the way the govt/HSE treat people wth chemkcal injury and try and make it look as if it is our own fault!!!!
